Jordan Heatwole Freelance Content Marketing

This week’s featured business is Jordan Heatwole Freelance Content Marketing. Jordan has quite the knack for writing, and has turned her talent into a successful freelance content creation business.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech in technical communication, and has since created content for a multitude of brands and businesses. Not only is she well-versed in writing (pun intended 😉 ), but she is experienced in marketing as well. This is a powerful combination!

In addition to her full-time job and freelance work, Jordan is also the face behind Lubbock Leaders, a fantastic blog that shines the spotlight on local business leaders and helps to tell their stories. The articles she writes are highly engaging, and I am certain that each person she’s interviewed is greatly appreciative of her work.

If you have something to say, but you just aren’t quite sure how to say it, she’s the girl you need to call! Her talent, combined with a wealth of experience and knowledge, is sure to provide your business with the exact message you want to convey. When you go with Jordan Heatwole Freelance Content Marketing, you can rest assured that the voice of your business is in good hands.

Tell us a little about yourself:

My name is Jordan Heatwole. I grew up mostly in Virginia but also spent a few years in West Virginia, Kentucky, and New Mexico. I first came to Lubbock for college in 2007 and have more or less been here since. Lubbock is the first city I’ve ever really called home, and I have a lot of love for and loyalty to it. I’m married to the most ridiculous person I’ve ever met and it’s fantastic. We’re in a Sunday night bowling league, are members of South Plains Church of Christ, have a Miniature Schnauzer named Shorty, and are hoping to have some human babies in the near future. I have two brothers and nine nieces and nephews and most of my and my husband’s immediate family is close by, so we stay pretty busy. I work full-time in marketing and have a pretty successful side hustle writing all kinds of content for all kinds of clients.

When did you start your business?

I started freelance writing in April 2015.

What’s your favorite part of your business?

I’ve had the opportunity to write about everything from technology and psychology to science, business, finance, marketing, and beyond. I love that I get to hone my skills while learning about new things.

Do you have any hidden talents (or favorite hobbies)?

I have a really weird hidden talent that’s hard to explain. Basically, I’m strangely good at acronyms. If you tell me a sentence, any sentence, I can immediately tell you the first letter of every word you just said super fast.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Lubbock?

There are so many good ones! I love The Crafthouse Gastropub and The Lantern Tavern and the new Savage Tavern.

If you had a free weekend and $2,000 to spend, what would you do?

Make a student loan payment. 😉 But I guess the fun answer would be to see what kind of flights I could get to literally anywhere I’ve never been.

What’s the best business advice you’ve ever received?

Present facts rather than feelings.
