This week’s business spotlight is on Chris Farrell, a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker here in Lubbock. You can find his ad and contact info in the Real Estate Agent category of the Home section of the website.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Chris for several years now, and I can assure you, he’s one of the most hardworking people I know.  My husband and I met him back in our fencing days while he was operating his own landscaping company. This mutual bond we all shared of toiling in the Lubbock summer heat certainly helped solidify the friendship! Trust me, anyone who can work that many hours in the sun is undoubtedly a hard worker.

In addition to him being a hard worker, Chris is also a die-hard Tech fan, which is also a very important quality to mention. 😉

Take a look at the interview below to learn a little bit more about Chris. There is a mix of fun & professional questions to help us get to know the person behind the name. J

Tell us a little about yourself:

I am a lifelong resident of Lubbock, a Texas Tech graduate, and plan on spending my life in West Texas. I am a huge advocate for all things Lubbock and enjoy meeting/helping as many people in my area as I possibly can. I am engaged to my best friend, Morgan, and plan to soon be married. We are animal, music and sports enthusiasts, who enjoy the little things in life. We have 2 dogs: Maverick, a 13 year old Labrador, and Zoey, a 3 year old Catahoula mix.

How long have you been in real estate?

About 1 year but have been in professional sales for over 10 years.

What’s your favorite part about real estate?

My favorite part about real estate is how rewarding it is to be a part of such a huge decision for people. This is likely the biggest decision most people make in their life and being a trusted advocate for them is a true blessing. I also enjoy getting to know people from different walks of life throughout our community, which makes me appreciate Lubbock even more!

What are your favorite hobbies?

Favorite hobbies include: Anything Texas Tech athletics related, attending live music events, helping animals in need by volunteering at various shelters, attending MLB, NFL, NBA and NCAA sporting events, and vacationing in the mountains.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Lubbock?

Triple J’s Restaurant and Brewhouse

If you had a free weekend and $2,000 to spend, what would you do?

I’d probably take a trip to Ruidoso to get away for a bit. Go hiking/fishing/horseback riding in the mountains and enjoy the beautiful scenery/shops that it has to offer.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

To always set goals! Goal-setting is important to every business, especially self-employed people. If you never set goals, you never know how far you can truly go in any business. Goal-setting and achieving goals is a great way to track your success (or lack thereof). Goals keep me motivated and are a huge part of my business plan.
